About Mami

I am a bilingual working mom in the hustle and bustle of the urban chaos called Los Angeles, California. I am originally from Torreon, Coahuila Mexico but grew up in the border town of El Paso, Texas.  I am a Texas girl at heart but eclectic L.A. has captured that said heart.  My line of work is retail marketing and event management.  My interests include, gallery hopping, Mexican poetry, cooking, blogging about cooking, exploring the city and blogging about exploring the city.  (Shameless plug about my food blog here).

This blog is about celebrating what my child is inspiring me to become...a (better) mom! We are a bilingual family that is slowly making its way to educating ourselves into improving our lifestyle in terms of health, finance, and most importantly, attitude.

I will share my experiences with quality products, fun and educational family events, some helpful shopping tips and discounts that come my way. I might even do a giveaway once in a while! You can be absolutely sure that the opinions expressed herein are my own and those of my family.

I hope that this site can serve to inspire, validate and encourage other working women and families who are making similar struggles during these hard times.  I invite your ideas, questions, encouragement, stories and thoughts.

Where I'm at right now, however, stuck in LA traffic commute, longing to read a bed time story to my 2-year-old son, and hoping to make it home with enough time to cook dinner for my husband.

Warmly,
Ericka
